Right, After speaking with the Mark Sansom more it has become clear that the 3 lads were told Robbie Garvey's plans for the coming season and were very much going to be involved. Offers were made to the players for them to be kept at the club but unfortunately the players have decided to move on, to the disapointed of the management team. The way i wrote it their departure sounds like they were not offered new contracts, which now we know they were.
Now we know exactly whats happened, we can move on and wish Mark Jones, Billy Burgess and Louis Riddle good luck in their careers and that Robbie Garvey can find the players to fill their shoes.

Until its official I won't accept they've gone. Do you believe they've put pen to paper at any other clubs?

I have heard from someone (not Mark) a friend who supports Bishop's Stortford that they have been in contact.

So it seems they were offered new deals and rejected them. Which is there choice. Good luck to them all and hope they get a better deal at another club and get paid all season.

I shall miss all three, if true. We will never know the facts about the cash/loyalty & the affects of the credit crunch, but all three have been superb over the years they have been with us. I hope its not the "grass is greener on the other side" syndrome.

Said it once and will say it again, don't go posting rumours and speculation, no matter how well informed. There are offers on the table and it may well be that the trio concerned won't find better deals elsewhere and opt to come back on reduced terms.
All posts like this do is alert other clubs to the availability of our players and weaken the manager (and boards) negociating powers with potential prospects and/or selling clubs.
Its fine to speculate when its a big pro club and its just that, speculation - but when its a small club like ours it does the club no favours what so ever. Do not post contents of private conversations and/or facebook statuses for the world to read - if it was news for public consumption it would be up on the website!!

Well said Dav End of the day, no player or manager/board member is going to discuss players contracts/wages outside of their circle. Quite frankly it's none of our damm business anyway. If mark did discuss what he knew with you btfc08, I'm sure he didn't expect you to post it on here, a little more discretion needed I think.
