The reserves began their campaign in the new Eastern Senior League today, dubbed the Thurlow Nunn League Division One South. There are plenty of new opponents to face but first up was a team we competed against last season. At that time Holland were groundsharing with FC Clacton but have now moved into their new ground at Dulwich Road. Holland won 3-0. As it was the biggest score of the day, they top the first league table and Iron are propping it up.
On Wednesday evening the reserves entertain Wivenhoe Town, k.o. at 7.45pm.

Brief write up on Non League Matters site from a neutral at the game:
Holland were clearly the better side and scored three excellent goals in the first half, Braintree produced very little. The visitors were late out for the second period, no doubt having received an ear bashing and making two subs. They started well but still didn't carry a goal threat, as the half wore on both sides seemed to settle for the result. A well deserved win for Holland.
