Been very disappointed on the occasions I have watched BTFC this season to be honest. Little pattern to the play and too much aimless lumping it forward but on the few occasions the ball is worked through midfield it looks OK but these are too few and far between.
Whilst on the face of it I agree that Marks is not the player of previous seasons but in his defence when I have been to games the service he receives is awful, I lost count of the times on Saturday that the ball was worked wide and either no cross came in or the ball didn't get past the first defender. He'll never be known for his finesse but you get the ball in the box from wide and he will get on the end of his fair share.
Difficult job for Devonshire with a limited budget and the number one priority as always is to get 50+ points however he can and I think if Dev could get his preferred first eleven out each week we'd be OK but it doesn't work like that. IMHO this is as poor a Braintree squad I have seen in Devonshire's time here and I fear that relegation is a real possibility.

Amazing considering we only lost two key players at the end of last year. I think the loss of Deano was massive, you'll never replace a player of that quality (unless you've got bundles of cash). Did we place to many eggs in one basket when we brought Charlie in hoping he'd recovery quickly and be the player he was before he got injured. He's only just showing signs of the old Strutts. Injuries have played a massive part in our struggle, we'll pick up second half of the season and probably end up mid table.

It seems a month since we played a home league match. This is going to be crucial to us, hopefully we'll get a few in.
