These bottom end of the table sides often have the wood on us. I seem to think we have decent record against the Shropshire side so fingers crossed that Iron make it back to back wins. It appears there's been a drop of rain in the Midlands so going is likely to be soft. For those not travelling both BBC Essex and Shropshire are providing match commentary for their respective audiences. The BBC link is: www.bbc.co.uk/englandcms/livestreams/int8.asx

'Have the wood on us' is a new one on me. More Oz than Brit, maybe. Anyway, I think you're right. That otherwise well researched piece mentioned on another thread points out that they have beaten us at home on the two previous occasions we've been there. It also says that they are on a decent run of only two defeats - to Barnet and Bristol Rovers - in their last eight matches. So a bit tougher than their league position might suggest. A draw would be a good result.

I did say a draw would be a good result - so what does that make 3-1? Congrats to all and in particular to Devs for keeping faith with the team that won last week. Let's have the same starting eleven on Tuesday, please

Team sheet looking a lot healthier now the injuries have cleared up. Think we all secretly knew we would climb the table as soon as they were back, especially a fit and firing Struts. Great result today lads! Marksy silencing the doubters. Keep this momentum rolling on to Tuesday.

Great win today the first half we sounded awesome ! Cant wait till tues. Fabulous to see a proven goalscorer bagging a brace and as one of Seans biggest critics of late so pleased for him to have his name on the scoresheet. Well done. Hope all have come through the game unscathed and we go to tues with a strong starting 11 and a positive frame of mind and overturn the poor performance in the previous Welling game, especially the 2nd half!.Safe journey home everyone. It was a great win. The iron attacked from the start with great purpose, Charlie having a shot in the opening minute. After a good run with the ball Simeone put the ball through to Charlie whom beat the off side trap and then beat the keeper. Even better was to come when the Iron broke to attack with Chez putting a superb ball over the defence to Charlie on whom chested it down and walloped it high into the net. Goal three came when the iron again broke with purpose forcing Telford into a comedy of errors Sam crossed the ball on the floor along the six yard line for Sean to stroke the ball into the corner of the net! Wow what a fiesta the boys were having a fourth looked likely but the Bucks held out. The second half started with Telford making three substitutions and they were soon rewarded with a goal for a while we were on the back foot but with some great possession football by Chez and then Kenny whom came on for Charlie we denied them few chances. Simeon was really enjoying himself with some great runs beating their defence but was a little unlucky with his shooting. During most of the five minutes of additional time we had the ball in their half. The players were magnificent they had certainly put in a shift, many were out on their feet after playing the very soggy pitch.

A lot of the pitch was waterlogged. Very tiring for both teams.
Fantastic to see us scoring lovely goals today!

Not a lot to add to whats already been said apart from the fact that now with an almost fully fit squad to choose from and with the way we played yesterday things are looking better than for ages.
If I had to choose a MOTM it would have to be Charlie for his goals, but every single player put in a performance to be proud of.

A rare job for Dev, he has to pick a team rather than the team picks itself due to the long long list of injuries. Looking forward to Tuesday and a full strengh squad.

It wasn't but at least he acknowledged what a good goal Charlies second was, and what a great ball from Chez to set it up.
