Just read on the Connie South forum that Paul has signed for Dartford. Anybody able to conform this? and could this be the beginning of many more to go in view of the reduced budget. Hope not.

Good luck to Paul, thats 4 ex-Irons that Dartford now have.
I've heard a rumour that Jacob Mingle is on his way to Staines? Mr.Chairman will the club be publishing a retained/released list like the other clubs?

Cody look on the Connie South forum. Several interesting postings about Paul which are not necessarily my views as IMO he performed well for us and kept his position in the side other than when he was suspended or injured.

This is a big blow. After George, he was the last person I wanted to see leave. A big plus for us last season.

Not surprised given his 'jump' from Stortford last season because of the lack of wonga there. As Patto pointed out a number of seasons ago it is incredible what players will do for an extra 10/20/30 a week. James Baker going to EASTLEIGH a couple of years back for a few extra quid was just utter nonsense.
I just hope we are competitive next season and on a positive note would like to hear of any new signings.........rather than more departures.........I am sure Rod's phone is red hot at the moment mind.............

Sad to see Paul go, thought he looked pretty tidy and sured up our defence in the second half of the season. Good signing for Dartford. Just bear in mind he likes the money (as it seems do a few of our squad) so could jump ship at any point. I wonder how many would be leaving if we'd achieved promotion?! Hopefully Champion and Brucey (both quality defenders) will see sense and sign on for next year.
Not really sad to see Holloway go. Granted a good keeper but this is not the first time he's chased the extra bit of dollar, turning down league clubs to join Chelmo....how'd that work out Craig?!
I'm hoping Rod can sign some players who want to wear the Braintree shirt and are willing to give their all. I'd be happy to pay £12, whether win lose or draw, as long as I see a group of lads who are passionate about being on that pitch and wearing the Iron orange.

Ash, the Baker thing was incredibly stupid yes but I'm glad he went, he's awful.
I'll turn out to watch the boys next season but not as often due to the pricing (cant see why its gone up, our attendances were poor when it was cheaper, but hey thats for a different topic).
I dont think we need a new centre-back as we have Bruce who can play there obviously and Bailey-Dennis who has returned from a loan at Aveley, where he worked under Rod.
