LEE FISHER STEPS DOWN
Lee Fisher has stepped down from his role as Braintree Town Reserve Team manager.
He said: "I have been given the opportunity to run a club at step 5 and I have accepted the offer as it is a progression in my management career.
"This has been a very hard decision to make due to my association with Braintree Town and the length of time I have been involved in the club.
"This will not have any impact on what the reserves has done over the last 2 seasons and the club will be looking to finalise the new management set up over the next week.
"I would like to thank Lee Harding and Jerry Carter and also the rest of the board for backing me and supporting me over the last 2 seasons and they have given me some great advice along the way.
"There are so many 'Thankyous' to say management, supporters, BTYFC, FSA and all the sponsors that have supported me over the last 2 seasons.
"It has been a great adventure over the last 2 seasons and I wish you all the best for next season." - Lee Fisher.
Club Chairman Lee Harding said: "I felt it was almost inevitable that Lee would move on to bigger and better things after two good seasons taking our reserve side forward.
"Sadly the non-League pyramid system does not allow well-run and progressive reserve sides to be promoted beyond step six.
"While some clubs may try to get around this by setting up nursery clubs - that is not our way - we are a Club, not just a team.
"But we will not forget that Lee has done a good job for the Club and will be a tough act to follow. I'm sure we will see him back at Braintree at some point in the future."
