Mitch Brundle hits 30m shot in first minute which grazed the Shots post.
Aldershot hit the front after 29 mins.
Braintree draw level through Dan Sparkes in the second half to complete the scoring.

A game with nothing to play for and it showed. Mitch was firing in shots early on, but neither side could create any decent chances. Some good play down the Shots right hand side saw a cross rammed home from close range. Braintree's passing was woeful, constantly giving the ball away. Mensah started the second half in place of Peters who'd taken a knock in the first half; Brundle reverting to right back. The only decent passing move resulted in the equaliser after Davis had broken up the play in midfield, Akinola carried the ball forward and across towards the left, where Dan ran on to a perfectly weighted ball to slot home a tidy finish. Hard to pick out a MOTM as nobody really stood out in what was quite a lethargic performance.

Yes very much a game with the end of season feeling and nothing to be achieved. Anyway I prefer that rather than a relegation scrap! According to the BBC stats Aldershot had 58% of the play, that may have been true in the first half but we equalled it up in the second and it was a good move to drop Mitch back into the defence as he helped out and started some of the moves. Akinola and Sparkes recreated the old one two to score the equaliser. After that the game could have gone either way the Shots putting a screamer just over the bar. All in all not a terrible game and it was good to see us come back from being behind, something we have lacked for much of the season.
