Eastleigh gave out over 2,000 tickets to kids from local teams for yesterday's live TV game with Macclesfield and were rewarded with a crowd of 4,126.
Charlton's 'All tickets a fiver' promotion attracted 25,545 for their game with Huddersfield. That was 10,000 up on their previous game.
Next Saturday Sutton United will be offering 'pay what you want' to supporters for their game with Hayes & Yeading. When they tried it last season they were rewarded with a highly successful day and a crowd of over 2,000.
Surely possible at Braintree............

The reason it was a good crowd puller for both clubs was tickets were given out to local sunday football clubs, and schools. Shopping centres also had tickets being handed out. Just to say the game is free in Braintree would not increase gate by many, give out tickets thats a differant story. People who do not normally come to the iron need something to remind them a game is on. Night games restrict the number of school kids that can attend also. But anything is worth a try to get more intrest in the iron.
