Looking at the current standings of the Vanarama Conference league with all teams having played around 20 games it appears that the table is anything but conclusive. Barnet at the top are the only team which have won more than half of their games although their brand of football is hardly setting the world alight. Bunched behind are a group of teams which have all won only ten games or less. FGR in 7th have won only 8 games as have the Iron in 13th, FGR have drawn 10 we have only drawn 3 hence we are where we are. Any team that can get a run of a few wins together will stand an even chance of getting up there. Is that beyond the Iron? After two good wins against poor sides I'm not getting carried away but it seems to me that the season is far from being over and what seemed beyond us a few weeks ago now seems possible.

If we can back up results like the last 2 when up against a side we should beat on our patch (welling) then who knows?!

Sorry Rusty but you are definitely getting giddy on the back of two decent results, You have seen what happens when injuries bite. mid table with no relegation drama's would be just fine.

Have to say who knows, this league is full of ok teams and we can certainly match them, lets not forget we have played Barnet twice, Halifax, Gateshead, Bristol Rovers,Grimsby and Macclesfield ( What are they doing up there ?). And are still in a good position, Lets keep feet firmly on the ground, quickly get to 51 points and pray our pitch holds up this season then who knows all talk should be on hold till then. We know Devs target. Keeping everyone fit is a must and possible loanees in coming months to bolster squad would be good, Mensah, Jakubiak, assombalonga and the likes of. Having watched the annihilation of telford via the magic of youtube must say Charlies finish for the second was 'instinctive' to say the least, certainly something we have lacked without him . (Thanks MB !)
