Just the reaction we needed today after a few tough weeks. Everyone at the races today. Marksy was immense all game really put a shift in and chez had his best game for ages. Great attitude from everyone today a real determination to get over the finishing line. Well done everyone.

Wearing my orange and blue glasses, I thought we worked hard. Needed a second goal but thankfully one was enough. What a difference Charlie made and Sean was back to his old self. Has to be the worst Wrexham team I've seen for a long time. On to Telford and fingers crossed for another great team performance.

A lot better performance today; taking the initiative from the off. In the end it was quite a comfortable 1-0 win, with Wrexham's best chance a long ranger after a poor clearance by Marks. I agree with comments about Chez and he was probably MOTM. Remy looked rusty with poor distribution, backward headers and one horrible sliced clearance straight up in the air. Peters & Habergham were solid, but didn't venture forward too often and Massey contained any aerial threat. Paine did what he always reliably does and was ably supported out wide by Mulley & Akinola. Good to see Strutton get off the mark, bodes well for when he is fully fit. Sparkes looked lively too when he cam on.

So dbbn the only thing you can pick out from Sean's performance was his poor clearance?

Well that's better, exactly what we have been crying out for a performance that was grafted and the effort from each player cannot be faulted. A well deserved 3 points against a quite shockingly poor Wrexham team. And I thought we had problems. Seriously their fans were leaving with 25 mins left ! and the way they booed their team off at the tunnel at the end was awful and painful to watch the two short ladies laid into each player and their comments made to the manager turned the air blue. Fair play to Wilkin he and his staff admitted their performance was not good enough, however take nothing away from the display from the Iron today. Also have to say great post match summary from BBC Essex Mark Baberg fair and true assessment of not just papering over the cracks with the result today. Well done Devs on positive 4-4-2 and use and timings of Subs. Despite our recent run the backing is there from fans. Team ratings today Nik 8 Great one handed reaction save that must give him confidence, Just be careful coming out , remember Luton ! Ryan 8 That's a real captains performance led from the front. Sam 7.5 Early error but sound today Remy 8 Despite his hoofed mistake clearance, felt he improved and got forward well threat on corners. Alan 8 If he was a stick of rock it would say Iron all the way through! Matt 7.5 Impressive display and Solid when needed Chez 8.5 Much improved display, Silly yellow card though! Simeon 8 Some neat touches and great runs just needs to release a little earlier sometimes! James 9 MOTM Who was this guy ? Great runs FORWARD dropped back well and looked a real threat. Much improved. Charlie 8 Looks rusty but im sure his mis-hit shot / goal will be his springboard. Sean 8.5 ! Yes you read it here 8.5 Take my hat off, Praise where it is due he stood up and played his part, not always great touches especially attempted through ball for Sim but his work rate was top drawer and that's all we ask for. Played to his strengths today and was pleased for him. WELL DONE !
Subs Dan 8 Looked impressive running with ball and his dead ball delivery was spot on Mitch Come on only to run clock down.
This performance is exactly the right way to play going into a string of winable matches. Good to see bench is strong giving options. Quick note, Kenny ? any ideas where he fits in this confusing jigsaw? Also Wrexham number 10, try using your feet not your elbows all the time a decent Ref may give you a red soon ! I remember this feeling on a Saturday, feels good even the Wife is relived she had enough of Iron man Grumps ! COYI
Forgot to mention great work on the P.A at half time for Livin on a prayer, how apt woah we're halfway there !

So dbbn the only thing you can pick out from Sean's performance was his poor clearance? No there was more to his "performance" than that; but I didn't want to be accused of being boring!

Simon according to there fans song, we're just a toilet stop on the way to Belgium. But fair play for them rocking up supporting there team for as long as possible before having to leave to catch there ferry from Dover.

Great team performance today, how a win changes things. Plenty of m.o.m today mine go's to sean. We are heading into heavy pitches and he shines with the best at this level, like a little piggy in Shit. Great tip over by nick, and Sim was shattered in the dressing room great display from the lad. Let's take this on to Telford and behold.
