A brace each for Sean Marks and Dan Walker with Dan Sparkes netting the other according to info I've read. Perhaps someone who went can pen a few notes on the game and the order of the scoring. Do the opposition play at County level? I've never heard of 'em.

Jimmy Owen Memorial Match Peterborough Northern Star 0 Braintree Town 5 H.T. 0-2 (Att) 85 Northern Star play in the United Counties League Premier Division, and were formerly known as Eye United. The match was played as a memorial to club stalwart Jimmy Owen, who died last year, and was a friend of Alan Devonshire's. Dan Walker opened the scoring in the 25th minute after a long and mazy run that took him past at least four players before he finished clinically. Four minutes later the same player added a second finely taken individual goal. At half-time Mitch Brundle replaced James Mulley in the centre of midfield. He was down on the team sheet to start the game but had arrived late at the ground. In the second half Sean Marks scored twice and Dan Sparkes once to record a comfortable 5-0 win. 16 year old Joe Maybanks did well in centre mid in the first half. During the second half four Academy players were introduced. All in all, a good night at a very friendly club. Team - Carl Pentney, Ryan Peters, Ryan Case, Remi Clerima (Sub - Joe Moore), Matt Paine (George Pullen), Joe Maybanks (Reece Sayers), Dominic Green, James Mulley (Mitch Brundle), Sean Marks, Dan Walker (Dan Sparkes), Jason Cox (Matt Baxter).

Nice to hear Joe Maybank's played well. If he was/is in the Academy, and also had a first team squad number for last year, does he have to be resigned for this year or is he regarded as a Club player and could therefore play in the Conference? Hope he is part of Dev's plans? (p.s. he was 17 last Thursday!)
