A real poor game again tonight, no spark and no end product, Overan in midfield again and not clinical in the final third, as much as it pains me to say it I felt we missed seans presence tonight. To be fair to Macclesfield they were not a bad team, but we played into their hands how many headers went between the defences noone got their foot on the ball and when they did it was hoofed forward with no real idea. would of been great if the last kick of the game had gone in. Oh well at least othe results keep us in the race, on to saturday and My car load im sure will be enjoying the day out no matter what. Team ratings tonight Nik 6 - Did what required Matt 6 - Needs to be back infront of the defence Alan 6 - Should of been thrown up front sooner Deano 7 - Won all headers but just kept coming straight back. Chez 6 - Hustle and bussel but passing was woeful. Sam 6 - Mr consistant again Dan S 6 - Thought he should of pressed more James 6 - Inand out of the game too much Kenny 5 - Shadow of last seasons player Dan H 6 - Looked tired and off target Jordan 6 - Midfield needed to help him once he won the headers
Subs Alex 6 Should of stole a point at the death Josh 6 Gone off the boil now his time is nearing the end Luke 5 Little time to make impact again should be given a start
See you all saturday COYI Keep dreaming dont give up.

Going by the BBC Essex commentary we were flat tonight and perhaps missing Ryan Peters is more of a key player than we give him credit for. I felt that tonight we really had to reinforce our claim to a play-offs spot, but once we went behind, I feared that was going to be that as we rarely comeback after falling behind in a game. Not only that but we don't have a great record against the silkmen'.
So on to Saturday and Champions-elect Luton. Can we give them a sweet Iron send off?

Lets hope we can put that result quickly behind us. The players looked very lack lustre. Too many missed placed passes and high balls maybe all those games took their toll but that was relegation performance. If they play like that at Luton they will get thrashed. However they have a few days rest and we have a fair record against the Hatters. The other results were quite favourable on Tuesday and we have to up the game until the very end, who knows? As a man once said "Its a funny old game"!
