I have started taking names for this trip and have 6 so far. We will require 14 names before being able to organise a coach. If you are driving to this match - please leave messages if you have any space / spaces...my guess this trip - all by car!!
Regards....RJ

Coach cost will be £24.00 Adult and £21 Consessions.....although have 11 names at the moment......cant see us having a coach with this number unless I increase the cost and take out consessions.
I will have to increase this cost to £30.00 but really do need 14 on coach - we're still lose nearly £100.00 at this increased cost - will have to do a 50/50 on coach / journey which goes against the principle we've had since I've been doing this...that is not to keep taking from those wishing to travel & pay for coach travel by increasing costs!!
IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WISHING TO TRAVEL TO NEWPORT'S NEW GROUND - PLEASE CONTACT ME BY SATURDAY MORNING!!
Regards.....RJ

Sad to say....only a 8-seater taxi booked for this trip - which is FULL......Very disappointing..... Anyone who claims to support Braintree Town FC and HAS NOT EVER been / paid to go on a coach to travel away from home, to watch the guys play, should be ashamed!!!!

Rich old pal.... I have said it before and will say it again you do an outstanding job in organising away travel. I understand your frustrations but to launch an attack on the average supporter who is going to have to find £50 for travel n match ticket added to that food n drink for the day plus the fact that in the next 2 weeks we have 3 home games all amongst the festivities which is the most expensive time of the year for nearly everyone.... How can I say to the kids that they can't have a Christmas present this year as I am going to watch braintree away!?! Don't lose heart Rich as there will always be the need for supporters away travel it's just unfortunately this game has come at completely the wrong time for a lot of supporters!!

Well said IIMB. Richard does a great job organising away travel and we would be lost without him organising the trips. Would hope for a full coach to Cambridge and more fans making their own way to the game. Money is tight all round these days and fans are having to pick and choose what matches they travel to.

putting the away travel information (coach details) on the braintree town fc supporters Facebook page might help to get a few more fans on the coach for away games.

Have you not checked the weather forecast!? Can't expect people to pay that sort of money with the threat of a sight seeing trip to Wales and back with no football!

spout37...IF you are a Braintree Town FC supporter is shouldn't matter how much it costs or WHERE they are playing at to watch the guys play. I apprechiate that times are hard and money is tight at this time of year - we have 23 away matches of which only 5 of these matches are under 100 miles. Sadly...we don't have space for you on this trip...but please see me in the clubhouse bar if you would like to join us on the close trips to Cambridge United FC or Tamworth FC? We would be pleased to have new faces on the coach... Regards...RJ

I think you are way wide of the mark regarding your comment about watching whatever the cost and location. Unfortuantely other commitments do come in around this time of year. Just because some of us can't afford it doesn't make me any less of a fan thank you very much.
All credit to you for showing commitment to the boys. Have fun tomorrow.

Just to warn you guys, there will be 'a precautionary' pitch inspection tomorrow morning at 9! so you might want to hang on for 5 minutes.
Monday to thursday has been non stop rain, with today dry as a bone but the forcast aint good for tonight/tomorrow, also there's a rugby match at rodney parade tonight and i think that might be the final nail in the coffin concerning the pitch!
If, somehow the match is on, our new location is 5 minute walk into the town centre, where there's pubs galore, from weatherspoons (friendly) to the grey hound (sh*t hole, avoid!!)
Have a good trip!!
