 08 Nov - Cambridge University (A)
« Thread Started on Nov 6, 2009, 12:51pm »

The ladies face a very difficult game away at Cambridge University on Sunday. On paper they are the best team in the division, but because they are a University team it means they typically struggle for the first two months of the season because of player availability, before stringing a successful couple of months together. They should have a full squad to select from now the term has started and will be a much different proposition from the team we faced in mid September.

Venue for the game is the Fenners Cricket Ground in the heart of Cambridge, address as follows:

Fenners Cricket Ground
Mortimer Road
Cambridge
CB1 2EW

Kickoff: 2pm

See you all there :)

The ladies were on the end of a footballing lesson today, beaten 5-1 by a very very good Cambridge University side, who showed little resemblance to the one that arrived at Cressing Road two months ago - something to do with the influx of new students for the academic year!! Zoe grabbed the only goal early in the second half.

Next up, Brentwood Town at home in the Essex Women's Cup 2nd Round next Sunday. More info to follow...

I hope the ladies can put this one behind them, learn any lessons and respond well in their next Cup game, Our turn to put Brentwood out of a cup.
