Storford in trouble? answer yes they will soon realise 2 out of there next 3 games are against Braintree Town :)
Not only have we won all 6 games in the conference south over the past 3 seasons, we have taken 6 points off them every christmas and new year for the past 3 years, the games are 6 days apart, and finaly the last Braintree team to go to Woodside Park scored 6 goals. I think number 6 is fast becoming my favourite number :)

Just got back after turning around at Southampton. Surely Weymouth knew long before 12 that the pitch wasn't playable. I'm not impressed. >:(

Just got down to Southampton in mini bus and now on way back. Shame they couldn't of decided to call it of earlier.

Just spoken with officials at Weymouth and, despite the frost tonight, they are confident that the pitch will thaw sufficiently in the morning to allow tomorrow's game go ahead without too many problems. The team coach leaves the ground at 8.15am and if I have any further updates, I'll try to update on here from my mobile.

I believe Louis is currently out with a groin strain and is going to have an operation on a dodgy foot or ankle as soon as the season is over. As much as we all love Louis, he was at his best 2 or 3 years ago before various injuries undermined his performance and the players we have now are younger and fitter; not much point in bringing him back.

The weather looks fine down there so far.
We might have to dig our way out of braintree but rest of journey should be fine.

Good luck to Robbie & his men on this long away trip.
Can't see that we have any suspensions, so Robbie should have a strong sqaud to work with.

For those not travelling, the ressies are home to Lowestoft Town.
A welcome break in the Xmas shopping.

I think you may be right and it should 38 mins for the 1st goal.

Typical bench warmer, always right and you didn't even get me a drink.

I think there is a chance of getting support from BDC. Back in March, BDC's Braintree Local Committee awarded a grant of £25,000 to Great Notley FC.

« Result #18 on Dec 16, 2009, 12:56pm »

Merry Xmas to all who know me at Cressing Road.

Some of you may be aware that I suffered a slight 'slip' at home a fortnight ago which resulted in my ankle being broken in three places plus a dislocation! :-/

I was hoping to get over this month, but as I'm likely to be on crutches for at least another month that will be unlikely!.

Have a great Xmas all, here's hoping to a successful 2010 for all Iron teams!!

Best Wishes
Mr Smuff
